A. Definition of National Resilience and State Defense

National defence

Endurance is taken from the word "hold". Endurance means strength, steadfastness, and determination. Meanwhile, national means a resident who lives in a sovereign country. Thus it can be said that national resilience is a form or ability to maintain the integrity of the nation from all kinds of challenges, threats, obstacles, and disturbances, both internal and external, that can threaten the integrity, identity, and survival of the nation.

State Defense

State defense is an attitude that must be owned by all elements contained in the country to maintain the integrity of the country. Therefore, it is necessary to have an attitude of responsibility in order to create the integrity of the state with all the efforts of each individual in defending their respective countries.

4. Integral or comprehensive comprehensive principle

D. Challenges of National Resilience and State Defense

Threats are efforts aimed at changing policies that are carried out conceptually or planned and directed, either through criminal or political actions.
Threats are divided into 2:

1. Military Threats

Military threats are threats that use armed force which are considered to endanger the state.

Example: Armed rebellion, separatist movement (movement to break away from the state), acts of terrorism, etc.

2. Non-Military Threats

Non-military threats are threats that do not use force of arms but if left unchecked will harm and also endanger the country.

Example: Low level of competitiveness, Poor economic performance, Unemployment, etc.
