English is Very Important, Why?

There are many reasons why we should learn English. Many Indonesian children learn English as a formality at school, there are also people who learn it because of work demands. English itself has now become an international language. Not many companies require their employees to have at least basic English skills. Not only that, many requirements to pass university level require passing the TOEFL test with a certain score. 

Another reason is of course to get an overseas scholarship. By learning English, you can get many benefits. We can also build international relations, and even have the opportunity to work at embassies. Not only that, we also have the opportunity to teach abroad. and most importantly, we can introduce our culture to the international arena easily. so that our country also has the potential to be able to compete more quickly with other developed countries.

 So what about people who feel English is not important? we can give an idea of what they get after learning English. One of them is to think more openly, so that we can minimize apathy towards other nations. then, they can filter the intake of hoax news (usually news from abroad or natural phenomena). They can also avoid bad websites, because many of them fall into these websites because they don't understand the content and meaning of the website (usually profane websites or hacker websites use English).
