Dream Comes True (Going Abroad)

Clara is a young lady who has many unfulfilled dreams. One of her biggest dreams is to go abroad and see snow in live. Clara, 21 years old lady living in Indonesia and have many dreams. She likes to spread positivity. Since she was younger she wanted to go abroad, watched about another countries, the cultures, and the seasons through media. And also about people that got a scholarship and struggling to adapt with western culture. It makes her keep learning English. She believes one day, her dream will come true.

Clara is a college student majoring in English Literature in junior year. She chose this major because she is so obsessed with English, this reason still relates to her dream. Of course, you can only communicate in English with foreigners.

This is the first year covid 19 entered this country. Every market, every school, and every tourist attraction are closed. Students can't go to school as usual because it is feared that it will be dangerous. At first we are so delighted we have a long vacation, but getting here it becomes boring. That's what Clara's feeling right now. His dad was fired from the office where he used to work. 

They had no options except to sell our house and move to their hometown. She has to leave everything in the city which she grew up there. Friends, house, and memories. Her hometown has a different atmosphere than in big cities, calming, soothing, and so comfy. But she's so lonely here, she has no friends. By the way, it's not a long vacation actually, she still has some classes but online. She still keeps in touch with her friends online, but it feels different. Not as fun as she meets them in person, but what is she supposed to do? Nothing

She has a lot of leisure time and she wants to try something new, improve her speaking skill. It drives her to go through online to try to make friends with foreigners. She texts some people and mostly are guys, cause she's a girl so she will more comfortable to chat with guys and.. she gets some friends. Now, she has a new activity. She tries to apply what she has learned through chatting in English. One guy asks for her number and they exchange their numbers. Now, she's waiting for his message in an app, Whatsapp.

Wow, she gets the message from him, they exchange some messages and all of the sudden, she receives a call. She declines and doubt to pick it up. She can't speak at all. "It's all right. Just wanna make sure whom I'm talking to", the guy said. Eventually, she picks it up. "Hello?" Clara said. "Hey, Hello, What's up?" the guy said. "not much, what's up with you?" said Clara. 

"Nothing, just chillin'" said the guy. "Sorry, but my English is not that good" she said. "It's alright, that's why I'm here, to help you with your English" he said. "Really? It's very kind of you!^^" she said. 

Ever since they talked in call, they became good friends. She gets stuck most of the time she speaks, but it's alright. He doesn't mind with it. One month, two months pass and they still keep in touch. They make a call routine but one day, this guy is busy with his final project, so they rarely keep in touch. Time flies, "it's been a while we didn't talk, I'm gonna text him". 

And still, he's busy with his project. She thinks that this guy is her best genuine online friend but one day this guy greeted her in very late at night, and dunno why he talks about something nasty and  she was like shocked. " Well, he's just like any Tom, Dick, and Harry online" she thinks so, and then, she takes a firm decision. "Look mate, I'm here looking for genuine friends and wanna improve my English, not to be a c*ck sucker so.. shut the h*ll up. Thanks for taking your time for me. You did the trick very well and I never expected this. It's not too late for you to change yourself to be better, but I'm leaving. Can't put up with such those behaviors. Bye~". Then, she blocks him.

Ever since that time she becomes very strict. She keeps talking to online people but more careful and will attack anybody who tries to do the same thing and insult them before she's leaving.

Time goes by, he meets another guy and he's annoying. At first, they were talking nicely but then one day, they argue because of little unimportant thing. Since then, they argue a lot but still become good friends. How come? Simple. They have the same dream. He wants to become a fluent speaker and he did already actually, but one step closer, earns money, graduates from college, and he will. They are pumped up about learning English or even crazy about it. They both plan to go abroad with different movement and achievement.
