Camping

Beneath the stars we lay
In tents that gently sway
The fire crackles in the night
And bathes us in its warm light

We are surrounded by the trees
Branches creak in the breeze
Leaves rustle in the wind
A symphony, nature's kind

We hear the chirping of the crickets
And the hoot of owls, wicked
The river's melody soothes our soul
A lullaby that makes us whole

The night is dark, but we not alone
For we have each other, and the unknown
We share our tales and laugh
In this wild and wondrous place we knew

In the wilderness, we found our peace
In the simplicity, a release
So let us cherish this moment in time
As we journey back to our daily grind
