"The Worst Effects of ASEAN Economic Community"

Asean Economic Community is an integration of the Asean economy in facing free trade among Asean countries. The aim is to make the Southeast Asian region an area that has a stable and prosperous economy through economic equality in each member country. One of the member countries implementing this program is Indonesia. But, the results of the program are not as expected. Conversely, Asean economic community program actually decreases the quality of the economy in Indonesia. There are several things that have caused a decline in the quality of this economic, including defeat of domestic products, exploitation resources by foreign parties, and difficulty in finding work.

First, domestic products lose in competing with foreign products. This program causes a reduction in barriers to the distribution of goods from abroad to Indonesia. Then,  this will have an impact on the position of the industry in the country, which Indonesian  prefer to buy foreign products.  Because the quality is better than domestic products. As a result the Indonesian economy is getting worse cause many local companies do not make production, consequently they go bankrupt. This will cause a low standard of living for the people and a decline in the economy.

Second, the exploitation of resources by foreign parties. This program makes it easy for foreign companies to enter Indonesia. Then they have the opportunity to exploit natural resources that cannot be processed by the Indonesian people. Also exploiting human resources by taking high-quality Indonesian workers to work in their country. Thus causing economic growth in that country, while the Indonesian economy has decreased. Because there are no more natural resources that can be processed and qualified human resources to build the economy in indonesia.

Finally, the difficulty of getting a job in the country. Because of increasing competition for jobs. This program makes it easy for foreign workers to enter and work in Indonesia. As a consequence, makes it difficult for Indonesian people to get jobs because of the intense competition. Many job seekers in indonesia not only compete with local communities but also with the international communities. Because of this, it will cause unemployment which will reduce the level of the Indonesian economy.

Asean Economic Community is a program that intends to improve the economy of Asean Countries, including Indonesia. Indonesia implements this program and the result is not increase in the economy, nevertheless a decline the level of Indonesia economy. This is due to various things, namely defeat in product competition, exploitation of resources, and strictness of the dispute to get jobs.
