Super heroes, shown on movies and comic books, are imaginary persons with ‘magical' power or skills. Those extra ordinary characters get the power in mysterious ways. Spiderman, Hulk, Fantastic Four, Cat Woman, Gundala Putra Petir (one of Indonesian super heroes) get their power by accidents. While Batman and Robocop get their ‘skills' through complicated technology. Whatever the ways are, those characters don't use their power for themselves but for their cities, countries, and even the world.
Super heroes usually appear when ‘super' criminals occur. Those extra ordinary good guys save the world from the threatening danger which stimulated by the cruel people. The good and the bad have almost equal power and ability.
There are now some ‘super' criminals occur every where in Indonesia. They are in government institutions, in the House of Representative, and many other places. Corruption, done by those super criminals, is every where. Some political leaders are not as good as they should be. Bribery dominates the system of justice. And still many more crime happens. Such condition puts this country into danger. Where are the super heroes? Isn't the condition bad enough to wake up the super heroes from their comfortable sleep?
However, if we expect the super heroes to save this country - this republic, it seems that we are hopeless, since super heroes are only imaginary characters. So, the question is, ‘Does Indonesia need super heroes?' What do you say?
