In these days, the population of elepants in earth reduced drastically. Many people don't know about this. They just meet and look elephants in the zoo that take care of the elephants well. But, do they know about the life of elephants in wild nature? Or in the other zoo and circus that treat elephants so badly? We should know that if elephants are extinct, then human's life will completely different. Why? Because the forest ecosystem will change.
When elephants eat fruits, they spread the tree seeds contained in these fruits over a wide area. They also have big bodies, live in groups and walk long distances which is stepping on the surrounding bushes, so that many plant seeds stick to the feet and dirt.Â
These seeds have the opportunity to grow along the path the elephants follow. The more elephants in a group the more opportunities for the seeds to spread and grow. Â
Many people out there kill elephants just to take the ivory. And then the ivory will be sold for decoration with high price. Imagine, the selfish people like that can change earth slowly just for their benefits.Â
Therefore, we as human have to protect elephants. Let's give our next generation chance to see our beautiful elephants. Don't kill them just for our benefits and money. Not only kill the elephants, but also if we doing illegal logging it will kill the elephants slowly because the forest where they live will be gone.
We can protect them by being friends with them. They will not attack us if we don't attack or disturb them. Just as simple as that. There is also research say a pet make us less lonely because we really feel like they understand us and accompany us.Â
Besides, life or talk with them or other animals can keep our brain sharp. For example, when we feed them, we need to pay more attention, remember other details, and use past experience to decide how to act.
