Bigu Festival (Kompasiana/ Sabrina Ananda Yaqin)

Recently, concert music festivals have become very popular in Indonesia, especially among young people. Many people love going to these festivals, but standing for hours can be very tiring. This has created a demand for more comfortable ways to enjoy live music.

Bigu Festival is here to solve that problem. Unlike other music festivals, Bigu Festival lets people sit on picnic blankets, enjoy food, and watch the concerts comfortably. This unique, picnic-style experience allows concertgoers to relax while still enjoying their favorite artists. It offers a refreshing change from the typical festival where everyone has to stand and move around a lot.

A few days ago, on July 13 and 14, Bigu Festival was held at Aldiron Field in Pancoran, Jakarta. This festival, the biggest picnic music festival in Indonesia, featured many popular artists. Performers included Kahitna, Nadin Amizah, Rizky Febian, Tulus, Yura Yunita, and D'Masiv. Their performances thrilled the audience and created unforgettable moments. The comfortable setting allowed everyone to enjoy the music without the usual exhaustion of standing for long periods.

Besides the music, Bigu Festival had many brands, small businesses, and creative industry professionals. Visitors could enjoy various foods and drinks, face painting, photo booths, and buy flower bouquets. This added to the fun and relaxed atmosphere, making it more than just a music festival. The festival started at 2 PM and continued until late at night, with different sessions in the afternoon and evening to keep everyone entertained. This schedule ensured that there was always something exciting happening, keeping the energy up throughout the day and night.

Bigu Festival's unique idea of combining music with a picnic has made it stand out from other music festivals in Indonesia. It offers a fun and relaxed way to enjoy live music, appealing to those who want to experience concerts without the discomfort of standing for hours. By providing a comfortable and enjoyable setting, Bigu Festival has set a new standard for music festivals in Indonesia, making it a must-visit event for music lovers.
