On (31/05), the Mobile game Genshin Impact has released their latest patch entitled "Hidden Dreams In The Depths". In this patch, the developer of Genshin Impact, Hoyoverse, also introduced two new characters, Yelan and Kuki Shinobu.
Game Genshin Impact itself is an RPG game with an Open World type that combines the concept of Visual Novel features and Role Playing. The mobile game Genshin Impact also allows players to play together by visiting their respective Worlds. With an interesting storyline and a mechanism that is not difficult to understand, Genshin Impact has managed to become the most loved mobile game by gamers. To the point they won The Game Awards for the Best Mobile Games and Best Ongoing Games category.
But one of the things that stands out the most in this game is the implementation of the gacha system. To get a strong character, players are required to do the gacha system first to get the character. Because of this system, many players are willing to spend a lot of money to get the character they want. This makes this game not much different from gambling.
The gacha system itself is now easy to find on online games that can be downloaded easily. Not a few games that insert a gacha system in the game mechanics. Usually, the items that enter the gacha system are premium items that are difficult to obtain. In other words, gacha is not that different from gambling.
Because of that promising reward, not a few players are willing to spend their money to get the item they want. According to one of the Genshin Impact players, Anna, this is not a problem for most players. Because for Anna, if she could get the character or item she wanted with the money she spent, then she felt it was a worth it.
"The point is, this is actually for self-satisfaction, we get characters that we want by using our own money, to me it was worth it, as long as you know your limits i think it's fine." Said Anna when interviewed on (12/6).
