The Days of Our Life

I am flipping the pages we have been through

Remembering those days we have traveled

Some initial pages trouble my mind

The chapter that makes my heart shrinks

The first chapter of our days

Though, some parts were only yours

Some words were as sweet as sugar cane

Some were bitter than coffee

And when some of the hidden sections revealed

It creates uncertainty in my soul

I found myself in the puzzle of your life

It’s like a maze

I’m flipping through the next chapter

There were words of promises

Some were kept, a few were broken

Some created anger and disappointment

Some made me fly to the seventh heaven

There were pages of secrets and confession

There were pages of endless love

There were sentences built out of lies

Every page I turned seem to have no end

As the end is still a mystery

Now that I’m flipping through more pages

I found the truth in every sentence

The urge to burn them all is so tempting

But look what I found

Look what is left for me
