Indonesia is a great country with around 13.600 islands stretched along the equator. But despite its culinary richness, little is still known about true Indonesian culinary potential. Beside of the general interest in Indonesia as holiday and vacation destination, and lack of efforts to promote Indonesian food on international landscape, language is often the major barrier, since most websites presenting information on Indonesian food is done in Bahasa Indonesia itself; practically alienated the rest of the world. This is why the world knows better about Malaysian food, Singaporean food, Thailand and Philippine food compared to Indonesian food, since most of websites on those nation's food are done in English.
But despite that common condition, some people find it worth their time to spread the news about Indonesian culinary to the global world audience, just like myself.
