A poem is beginning to take shape in
My mind. Ideas came riding on droplets
Of cool rain, or galloping between
The soft drizzle of my heart. The first words
Are twirling, like ripples in a puddle
Of thoughts. To blend nuances whether
Slight, or extreme, in thrills, in joy,
In sorrow and pain. Finding solace in a
Heart drenched with forgotten memories,
Of moments shared with showers
Of blessing, with the cool gentle rain.
.
A poem has existed in my mind, waiting as
Messenger of thoughts and feelings.
And so, this poem is poured out,
As a token of time lost. And this poem
Is written, with quills of a kind heart,
With ink of tears, as rain pours down
On this dry land, with its drops of
Nourishment for this opulent earth
And a yearning heart. Beneath the murky
Waters, there lay a deep and still water.
It will wash away all the pain, give time
For the healing with splashes
Of coolness, of a gentle rain.
