Covid Opponent, Students Distribute Mask and Basic Food

 As a form of support and concern for the Covid-19 pandemic residents who attacked the country, the Students of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the University of August 17, 1945 Surabaya (UNTAG) felt called to help assist the affected communities, especially in the Surabaya and surrounding areas.

With the replacement method of KKN with individual KKN, students make donations which are then distributed in the form of food packages and masks. Donation has been carried out for 12 days which is published through social media.

"Alhamdulillah, for 12 working days, at least 30 food packages and masks were ready for us to share for residents in need. Not only food packages, we also distribute masks of students' butane results in each of these packages, "said Arwan Arisakti as coordinator of the event, during the distribution of basic food distribution on Sunday, May 17, 2020.

This activity also received full support from Drs. Y.B Agung Prasaja, M.Hum as the field supervisor of this individual Community Service learning program. Activities will be carried out in the silver sub-district of East Surabaya. The target of providing food is people who need it. This activity was also strongly supported by the RW and RT Timur silver sub-districts.

"Hopefully with this little help the community can be helped a little to meet their daily needs and hopefully this pandemic will soon end, because we also miss activities and lectures as usual," said Arwan.

"We would also like to thank the donors, ranging from students, lecturers, to the general public who are moved to take part in this positive activity. May Allah SWT always provide health and blessings to all donors, 'Arwan said.
