Islamic culture in Muslim countries reflects the diversity of traditions influenced by the teachings of the Qur'an and As-Sunnah, Islamic culture refers to the overall social life, culture, and spiritual activities shaped by Islamic values and teachings and the traditions of Islamic culture have been passed down from generation to generation. Islamic culture includes architectural arts such as mosques, literature and poetry, social traditions, culinary, education and science, music, dance, and painting (calligraphy).

Preserving Islamic culture requires the participation of various parties including governments, communities, and individuals with efforts to preserve Islamic culture. Governments and politics have a very important role in maintaining the identity and preserving Islamic culture in Islamic countries, politics can also be influential in various policies, legislation, and steps taken by governments and political institutions. The government can do several ways to preserve and develop Islamic culture in the world of education, namely by introducing Islamic culture to the community, because by introducing Islamic culture to the community will participate in maintaining and preserving Islamic culture, the government must also provide facilities for the community to learn such as building schools or Islamic educational institutions by integrating or applying Islamic values into the education curriculum. 

Thus, the community can understand and apply Islamic values in daily life, maintain Islamic cultural identity, and develop better religious awareness.

Introducing Islamic Culture Through Art and Culture.

In preserving Islamic cultural heritage, the role of politics is very important to maintain the sustainability and development of Islamic cultural heritage. 

There are several ways that can be done to preserve Islamic culture such as holding festivals and cultural exhibitions to introduce Islamic culture to the community and to the international community, and preserving traditions and customs by holding performances or competitions in dance, music, and drama, as well as visiting historical places, so that the younger generation can directly experience and appreciate Islamic culture and develop Islamic tourism to focus on introducing and promoting Islamic cultural heritage and historical places. 

With the existence of historical places as a place to introduce Islamic culture to the community and the international community, people should be aware and care about maintaining historical sites and protecting historical sites that are important to Islamic culture, such as old mosques, tombs of scholars, and other historical buildings. This will help them understand and respect the traditions and customs of Islamic culture, as well as maintain the authenticity of the culture.
