The third millennium, namely the XXI century, is described by experts as an era of postmodernism, which has a mind against things that are standard, we all enter a period where we have positive and negative influential factors. Of course, this situation must be controlled in order to obtain its benefits.
So the role and function of Islamic education in the era of postmodernism is to anticipate, preventive-protect, and rehabilitate the complex problems that arise in the context of the development of science and technology, such as individualist, hedonic, consumerist, permissive, even chauvinistic culture.
In the social sector, giving birth to problems which are crucially dilemmatic, such as creating a gap between the rich and poor, educated and those who are not.
Of course, to stem a number of possible acts of immorality, crime and disobedience, a system is needed by re-actualizing Islamic education. Every human being must know what is good and bad for him, therefore, Islamic education has an important role in the concept of preventing bad behavior for adolescents.Â
The pattern of reactualization of Islamic education does not only provide contextual understanding and knowledge, but also the application of character in adolescents in their daily lives. Thus, forms of juvenile delinquency can be avoided.
