Mount Merbabu Tourism

Mount Merbabu is a mountain located in Central Java. This mountain is quite popular among climbers. To climb the mountain with an altitude of 3142 MDPL, climbers can pass the Selo, Wekas, and several other routes. 

On holidays, this mountain is usually crowded with climbers. The path is not too steep and the beautiful scenery is the reason for climbers to make it a climbing destination

Mount Merbabu has five main routes, namely the Selo route from Boyolali, the Kopeng route from Salatiga, the Wekas route from Magelang, Thekelan route from Semarang and the Suwanting route from Magelang. 

Among the five hiking trails, Selo is a favorite for climbers because the path is relatively easy and the scenery is very eye-catching. In the morning until noon, your eyes will be served with green grass and savanna that spoil the eyes, while at night you will see the sparkling view of the city from a height.

This mountain has four peaks that both have extraordinary views. Therefore, the climbers call this mountain "little Rinjani" because it presents an extraordinary natural picture.
