Indonesia Wins 7-0 Against Nepal, Did Indonesia Qualify to Asia Cup?

Indonesia confirmed a place in the 2023 Asian Cup for being one of the five best second places, who were in the Asian Cup qualifying group. This is Indonesia's long wait after 16 years of waiting to re-enter the 2023 Asian Cup. 

Played at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, Kuwait, Wednesday, June 15 in the morning WIB (GMT+7). West Indonesia Time or WIB). 

First Half

Garuda Squad's attack after attack was effective to trouble Kiran Shtresha's squad. The result was sweet, the Indonesian national team was able to open the scoring through a header by Dimas Drajad (6').

Witan Sulaeman (43 ') was able to add to the advantage of the Indonesian national team. Witan received a mature pass from Asnawi Mangkualam. In the end, the Indonesian national team beat Nepal 2-0 in the first half.

Second Half

Entering the second half, Indonesian coach Shin Tae-yong entered several new players, namely Rafli. The inclusion of Rafli made a significant change in the pitch. There are at least two chance that almost be a gol. 

In the 54th minute, Fachruddin Aryanto scored a goal using the chaos in front of the Nepal goal. Less than 60 seconds later, it was Saddil Ramdani's turn to add the score which made Indonesia even more in front, 4-0. 

Central defender Elkan Baggot also plunged himself into Indonesia's goal feast with his goal from outside the penalty box in the 80th minute.

The euphoria for the goal was not finished yet, Witan Sulaeman presented his second goal in the match as well as the sixth goal for Indonesia.

17-year-old midfielder Marselino Ferdinand closed the game with his goal in the 90th minute which made Indonesia win seven goals without reply.
