Berhijab? Should we?

Dear Muslimah,

As a muslimah (muslim woman), I have an obligation to convey what I know. Because I love you.

Should we wear hijab? :)

I started to wear Hijab, when I was 18 years old. Before, didn’t know if hijab is an obligation for muslimah, hehe, because when I was child until Senior High School I didn't read the meaning. Alhamdulillah, my friend give me advice “Lets read Qur’an Al-Ahzab : 59”

Then I read and search the meaning.

“O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the woman of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.” (Quran Al-Ahzab : 59)

At the time, I was shocked. Really! I didn’t know that hijab is an obligation for me as a muslimah. The decision to wear hijab was hard for me, but with some reasons I decided to wear it. My considerations:

1.I believe in the truth of Qur’an. I believe that Qur’an is the book that comes from Allah. So, I took hijab. I want to be obedient to Allah.

2.The ayah said ‘they will be known and not be abused’, it means that Allah want to keep us. How loves Him to us. I want to be keep by Him. He is the best guard.

3.Islam respects women. Islam ask we to wear hijab because Islam want others appraise us because of our heart and thoughts, NOT because our physical.

Yeah, I think three reasons above is enough to make me chose hijab as my clothes.
