On 25-27 September 2015 the world agreed on sustainable development program 17 or suistanable Development Goals (SDGs). Broadly speaking, 17 destination SDGs can be grouped into four pillars, namely human development, economic development, environmental development, and governance.
The Indonesian government encourages community participation in implementing sustainable development aganeda (SDG) until 2030. The development program which has 17 destinations with 169 targets will be adopted the country's leaders in the public hearings United Nations (UN) to 70.
Without community participation, agenda SDGs will suffer the same fate as the Millennium Development Goals / MDGs. In some countries the implementation of the MDGs were initiated 15 years ago is far from expectations. In Indonesia alone, four of the eight MDGs recorded away from the target (off the track). the failure of the MDGs is to reduce the maternal mortality figures, reduce the number of people living with HIV, ensuring environmental sustainability as well as providing access to drinking water and adequate sanitation for the community.
The effectiveness of treatment programs reduce the impact of climate change in each sector in order to support the implementation of sustainable development system, can be improved by building synergy between sectors of activities of adaptation action. Every sector of development goals could not be achieved by optimally without the support of other sectors. Therefore, the role of the community in environmental management in action measures reducing the impact of climate change in every sector in order to build economic resilience, the order of life, ecosystems and the specific areas to the impacts of climate change need to see the connection between sectors program. It can be used as a foundation to build synergy and fill gaps adaptation action activities.
The role of society in environmental management as an effort to reduce the impact of climate change for the completion of encouraging and demanding various environmental cases are caused by climate change on the basis of consciousness. As well as the required certainty in the law on the environment that all of society is needed, on the other hand required participation in environmental management as an effort to mitigate climate change.
