Today I feel adrift . It seems I was rejected. Looking at past experiences. Over the semester, I feel as if I was moving in a flock of sheep. Accept I'm not a sheep. But rather an insect, or another animal that diverges from the flock.

Losing once is commendable, losing twice is grotesque, losing three times is outstanding. Thinking further, claiming victory is inherently what the masses want. The act of thinking that we ourselves are our winners are merely illusions to evade a seemingly harmless threat.

Getting rejected  is somewhat refreshing. But it reminds you of how humans are. Humans with its free will  seem to have  free choices. These choices pose uncertain circumstances that we ought to deal with. As the stoics say, one can't control something that is outside their sphere of choice.

Although hurtful, it is the reality in which I, and many others young people must face. Either we must accept it or tremble in the face of fate. Such a pity if one wonders of powers that one cannot control, that is outside the sphere of choice. Getting rejected, losing a competition, disasters, or even the feel of dissatisfaction is something that get a grip on. It is just something that we must accept wholeheartedly.

Yes we can be sad, yes we can indulge ourselves in the feelings within human nature. But it is irresponsible to exceed one's capacity in receiving one's own passions or feelings. We can be sad, we can cry, but continue with wisdom and perseverance.

Think with clarity. Let the thought stay afloat inside our minds. Let it sit there and approach it slowly. Just like we approach a kitten stranded from it's mother. Walking step by step, looking into its eyes and slowly revealing your own intentions. If it's scared, let it be, if it accepts you, rejoice and wonder why it accepted you.

In other words, it is within our choice to choose whether we want to better ourselves or not. Remember that worrying about things that are out of our control is foolish, it is better to accept it with humility and great honesty.
