Some people can't drink coffee in the morning, because it can cause excessive stomach pain, especially on an empty stomach. Why is that?

Morning is actually not the best time to consume coffee. Especially if coffee is consumed directly when you wake up. This is actually said to be able to reduce the efficacy of coffee that enters the body. Morning is when the stress hormone (cortisol) is at its peak. This hormone has an important role to help increase focus and alertness in activities. Cortisol also plays a role in regulating metabolism, blood pressure, and immunity.

Normally, the hormone cortisol will be produced in the most quantities at 8 to 9 in the morning. Over time, the levels of this hormone will decrease. Well, that's when the body needs to get a booster. One of them is the caffeine content in coffee. But that way, everyone's body condition might be different, so the time to drink coffee might be different too.
