Hmm..
One of my favourite quote says : “If two people always agree on anything, only one who does the thinking!“ Ahahahaha.. Isn’t that true? No matter how very similar we are, there will be times when we disagree on something, we can’t always agree on anything. When we always agree, it’s more probably because the other person holds back what he or she thinks about the matter of the subject. Anywayy.. Couple of days ago a friend of mind put this status on his Facebook : “Why do good people always die too young?“ I asked him how did he defined the good and the bad? What measurements did he use to separate those two? I don’t know. Sometimes I think we’re too judgemental, we’re so easily put a “label” on someone whether it’s good or bad. While in fact, we don’t know them that much. And sometimes “good” or “bad” is pretty much depends on which side are you in seeing things.
(And oohh.. I love the above picture cause when you see it upside down then the "good" turns into "bad" and the "bad" turns into "good", ahahaha.. so you see, sometimes it depends in which perspective you use :p)
Let’s take this one as an example. Someone breaks into one’s house and steals things. For the owner of the house, of course that stealer is a bad person, right? Cause not only the stealer breaks in, he or she also takes things that doesn't belong to him or her! But as for the family of that stealer, he or she might have been a good person for providing food they need to survive, for paying the medicine, for paying the house rent, etc. I’m not saying that stealing is a good thing. I’m not saying that it’s okay to steal. No, it’s a wrong thing to do, even when you do that for a good reason. It’s still wrong! But that makes the stealing thing understandable, wrong but understandable, ahahaha.. I’m making no points there :p I think the same goes for what we called “hero”. Oftentimes the word “heroes” are assosiated with people who defend their countries against threatening forces, right? Well.. For us, maybe they’re heroes. But.. For those who lost their loved ones in wars by our “heroes”, do you think they see our “heroes” as heroes as well?! I don’t think so! For them, our “heroes” might be “murderers”!! Intriguing, isn’t it, how the same person can have two totally different “names” like that? This thing makes me realized that.. All these angelical and devilish things are within us. We all have our good and bad side. I’m aware of that, and I try hard not to feed my bad side so that it will not grow any bigger or stronger. And just like Mariah Carey’s fenomenal song “Hero”, indeed there’s a hero in each person’s heart. Being a hero doesn’t always mean about doing splendid marvellous things! Sometimes a small little thing that you do, can mean so much to other people. When demand meets supply, there you go, a hero thing, ahahaha :p -Indah-
