Navigating The Political Landscape in Ganjar Pranowo's Journey

Ganjar Pranowo who was the governor of Jawa Tengah in last 2018-2022, onward to running for presidential election of Indonesia with supporting party Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP). Ganjar Pranowo was born in Karanganyar on October 28, 1968. He studied at Kutoarjo up to junior high school and continued his senior high school in Yogyakarta since his father's work placement moved to Yogyakarta. After high school, he continued his study on Legal studies in Universitas Gadjah Mada in 1987 and took master degree on politics in Universitas Indonesia in 2013. While studying at UGM, Ganjar joined Gerakan Mahasiswa Nasional Indonesia (GMNI). In 1996 he started his politics by joining Partai Demokrasi Indonesia (PDI). 

He tried to be part of Dewan Permusyawaratan Rakyat (DPR) in 2004 but he failed. In 2009-2014 he succeeded to the DPR RI Commission II which focused on domestic government, regional autonomy, state apparatus, bureaucratic reform, elections, land and agrarian reform. While being DPR RI, Ganjar uses social media like Facebook and Twitter to get close and trust the society. After fulfilling his role at DPR RI, Ganjar elected to govern in Jawa Tengah for two periods in 2013-2018 and later in 2018 to 2023. Now, Ganjar Pranowo officially elected to be candidate for presidential election of Indonesia with Mahfud MD as his vice and supported by several parties such as Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP), Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP), Partai Hati Nurani Rakyat (Hanura), dan Partai Persatuan Indonesia (Perindo).
