Mount Kerenceng: A Natural Tourist Destination in Sumedang Regency

Mount Kerenceng is one of the natural tourist destinations worth exploring in Sumedang Regency, West Java. Located in Tanjungkerta District, this mountain is known for its untouched natural beauty. Standing at approximately 1,736 meters above sea level, Mount Kerenceng offers a captivating hiking experience for beginners and tourists who want to enjoy the charm of West Java's nature.

Location and Route to Mount Kerenceng

Mount Kerenceng is located about 30 kilometers from the center of Sumedang City. Visitors can start their journey from Bandung or Sumedang City to reach the site. If using private transportation, the fastest route is via Jalan Raya Sumedang-Tanjungkerta, taking approximately 1--2 hours.

Access to the mountain's base can be quite challenging due to rocky and uphill paths. However, the scenic views along the way---such as lush green rice fields, rolling hills, and serene village atmospheres---make the journey enjoyable. For those without private vehicles, public transportation or motorcycle taxis from nearby villages are viable alternatives.
