Syd, July 27th, 2006 Ever seen the news of the current Mid-East situation lately? Afghanistan or Iraq perhaps? Conditions are most unlikely to improve in a foreseeable near future. Saddam is definitely going to be ‘guilty as charged’ under the “new” court of the “new” Iraqi government, in short ‘he is a goner’… Assuming that it is common knowledge of how political trials end… The analogy goes like this… Previous leaders are ‘always wrong’, and it is 99% anticipated that the prosecutor wins… Ehhmmm… except for some (homeland) cases of course… Well… Anyways, back to Mid East again… It is ‘an international public secret’ (meaning even every fool in the planet knows) that Arabs does not like Jewish people for some reason (that’s also another public secret) and so does the ‘mainstream’ back home… Anyways, the latest development of the crisis shows that ground troops have had the first heavy contact resulting ten dead Israeli soldiers, dozens of Hezbollah fighters (an armed religious organization allegedly Iran supported)… How can a group of armed people manage to “co-exist” in a sovereign country like Lebanon? The Lebanese must be crazy… the best guess would be – the Lebanese cannot get rid of Hezbollah themselves… or The Lebanese must've loved Hesbollah so much that they co-exist running the state... Imagine GAM allowed to co-exist alongside the Indonesian government… hehehe… Hamas and Hezbollah are ‘close relatives’ therefore they have a lot in common… similarities like the willingness to die, a well armed conscript fighters with AK-47s, home-made bombs, rocket launchers to Katyusha missiles, extremely hostile and fearless. They kidnap people for one reason or another (they both love Jewish and Westerners for snack) and they are allegedly funded by rich sheikhs all over the planet who are inspired by their cause (see Wikipedia). As always nothing is perfect, while they are well accepted by their people, these two are considered a threat to Israel’s existence and to the countries that listed these brothers into the “terrorist” column... It all began when Israel began its offensive campaign against the Palestinian Hamas government as a diversion… or not… Hezbollah, whether thinking clearly or not… or is it out of brotherly love… then kidnapped two (or three) Israeli soldiers for fun saying ‘brother Ham, I’m on your side’… The Israeli pride and fear then drives the course of the campaign to dismantle (or ‘totally destroy’) brother Hez leaving brother Ham fighting its own battle and maximize the opportunity to preserve existence (as if we are attacked by aliens)… The Israeli retaliated the kidnapping with artillery bombardment on Hez’s hideout in Southern Lebanon from the sea, ground artillery, to cluster bombs from the sky (allegedly again US made…) Hmmm… where does the US (the sole super power left) stands in this mess? Claiming neutral, Mr. Bush vetoed the UN decision to intervene therefore its status is not condoning or condemning… merely ‘allowing’ brother Israel to preserve and protect its existence even if it means pre-emptive measures are applied… like this ridiculous war… Hmmm, if Israel (Jews) is destroyed then it would be the end of the world (to some believer)… Seriously, none of us wants the end to be so near… Too much to think about… Too much that have not been accomplished yet.. So, does it mean that Israel will prevail once again? Has anybody considered what Israel’s arsenal is like? Massive… for a country of only 6.5 million people, Israel has an army with the size of what should be owned by a country of 220 million people… (I’d rather not say which country)… hehehehe… They have approximately 800 fighter jets, 250 thousand troops with 400 thousand tactical reserved troops, 150 warships and God knows how many thousand tanks… The latest update say that Israel has secured (a neutral term for occupied) few villages in Southern Lebanon after scattering its villagers with bombardments… While brother Ham is nearly unheard at the moment, brother Hez so far (15 days) have launched over a thousand missiles into Northern Israel… Katyusha, what a lovely name for a deadly weapon… in World War II they used funny names such as Fat Boy, Fat Man, Little Boy etc… Israelis and Lebanese mourns for their dead but brother Hez has got nothing to loose (Lebanese is not Hezbollah and Hezbollah is not Lebanese… is it?) Well, if there’s nothing to loose then whatever the outcome brother Hez is the winner although Israel might manage to dismantle brother Hez forcefully causing Lebanon into further destruction… At some point, it might be possible that Israel wants to drag Iran into the conflict to justify testing its miniaturized nuclear warhead fitted into their nuclear subs ready to strike Iran’s nuclear plants… What the…!@! Imagine, the Arabs and the Jewish in the verge of causing their own extinction… Going against the Arabs is not an easy task for Israel…Talking about the money spent on war… Israel’s been fighting for ages… the issue is Israel’s economy… Bullets and Bombs don’t grow on trees and fighter jets sure aren’t made of paper… Regardless the fact that war is daily life, economy runs in a steady pace as if it is a common budgeted expense… !@! Whether it is a World War III scenario or not, ‘civilians are the ones who suffers the most… families with no home, death of relatives, shortage of food, medicine and so on… Ever heard of smart bombs? It sure ain’t smart enough to tell the difference between a soldier and a civilian, termite nest or Hezbollah hideout… Cluster bomb is a cool invention but it is against the humanitarian law… simply against humanity...  Now think about this, is brother Hez’s fighter a combatant hence their rights are also recognized (such as POW stuff and all)? If not, is it then they are considered as a horde of barbarians (terrorists)? Freedom fighters (although no one uses that anymore)? Out of all this bickering, from then to now, from politics disagreement twisted to religious crusade, the trophy of pity goes to the civilians from both sides… Humanity, where are you? ... God bless us all.. *repost *picture from Google *this post is not meant to offend any party, if it does then I'm freakin sorry...
