Have you ever been walking alone on a road, and suddenly there's a man shouting you out, saying, "Beauty Girrrrrl!!!! Smile for me honey, where you go, come-on let's go with me girl!".

You know what? That's not a compliment, that's catcalling, that was kind of sexual harassment, and 84% women were experienced that. Indonesia has a high number of sexual harassment cases every single year. Great to know that you're reading this inside your phone right now, but let's just pause for a while and go check out today's news update. See? Even the highlight of the month stuck with the sexual harassment case.

I know it was pathetic, but actually the numbers were increasing than last year. Social distancing makes us far apart; no more interaction; we don't even know what happened outside. And internet stuff? Sometimes they help us, like, "yeah, i get bored, time to check Instagram stories". Because today, that's the way that makes us connected. But sometimes it can be a scary place for someone.

The KOMNAS said that sexual violence on the internet has tripled over the previous year. And one third of women experience that. Actually, it wasn't just women's; men also can be sexually harassed. Just like trending news you've faced every single day this month. But the data doesn't show real numbers.

Fear of reporting, not knowing who and how to report to, or being forced to remain silent because the suspects are closest people, might be something that shows there's much more numbers to count. The latest news from KPI for example. It's just popped up after more than five freaking years. it's a shame it really happened.

One day I found myself reading hundreds of comments on a Twitter thread. The thread was about someone who bravely spoke up that she was sexually harassed. The majority of the comments were about blaming the victim, the one who was sexually harassed.

Someone typed "why don't you scream and asking for help?" "it's your fault, why did you wear those clothes?", what the heck are they talking about? The other day, trending Twitter "Welcoming party of sexual harasser".

Huft~ Suspects were always suspects. No matter who they are and no matter who the victim is. So then stop blaming victims; it's not about the clothes you're talking about; it's about the suspects.

Since you guys are still here, thank you though, please reading just for a few minutes ahead because I need your help.

Promise me, every time you get that thing, even though i hope it won't happen to us, document what happens. Keep a detailed diary including dates, times, and places. Save any notes or pictures from the harasser--don't throw them away in anger. Keep a record of anyone who witnessed the harassment.

Please don't be afraid to report, don't be afraid to speak up. Everyone here to help you. I also need your help to report anyone on the internet who asks you for sex, who sends you nude pictures, who asks for your nude pics, report them! Let's create a safe online environment for us. I hope we become caring for each other, call your friends, ask "hey buddy how are you, yo its been a long time right".
