Once upon a time, in Greek Mythology, there's a handsome young man called Narcissus. Every young girls that saw him wanted to be his but he would have nothing to do with them. He was the son of Cephissus (The River God) and Liriope (The Nymph).

One day, he walked in a wood and there's the most beautiful Oread (Mountain Nymph), Echo (Nymph of Mount Cithareon) following him because she was falling in love with his beauty.

He sensed he was being following and shouted: "Who's there?"

Under the spell of Hera, Echo repeated: "Who's there?"

She eventually revealed her identity and attempted to embrace him.

He told her: "come!" because he thought that it was one of his buddies.

Of course she echoed: "Come!" and then she stepped out to Narcissus with her arms lovingly extended to hug him. But he rejected her and scorned her and walked away.

She was heartbroken and spent the rest of her life in lonely glens until nothing but an echo sound remained of her. She was prayed to the Gods.

Nemesis (The Goddess of Righteous Anger, Revenge and Justice) heard her story and decided to punish Narcissus. She lured him to a pool where he saw his own reflection.

He did not realize it was only an image and fell in love with it. Only death that could free him from himself.

And so it was. Never moving and he laid there until he died.
