As we all know, nature provides and supplies the economic system with various natural resources both renewable and non-renewable. This is for the needs and survival of humans. But on the other hand, what is the return that humans give to nature? Therefore, sustainable development has become a major focus for many countries around the world. One component of achieving sustainable development is providing affordable and clean energy. Affordable and clean energy not only supports economic growth, but also reduces environmental impacts and improves people's quality of life.

However, developing countries are often faced with difficulties in accessing clean and affordable energy. Whereas many developing countries have great potential in renewable energy. Therefore, this article will present solutions to promote Sustainable Development in accessing clean and affordable energy in developing countries.

  1. Expansion of Rural Electricity and Solar Energy Program

Many areas in developing countries lack access to adequate electricity. Therefore, the government can expand the electricity grid and include the installation of solar panels to rural areas and people in remote areas have access to affordable electricity through simple solar panel installations. The need for Electric Energy in rural areas is very necessary especially in villages where there are no PLN lines. So that local residents can use electricity and have access to affordable energy that was previously unserved.

  1. Electricity-Based Transportation

In recent years, there has been increasing attention to the negative environmental impacts of internal combustion engine vehicles. Exhaust emissions and the use of fossil fuels are major challenges to achieving cleaner and more sustainable transportation. Electric vehicles have great potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce dependence on finite natural resources. By replacing fossil fuel vehicles, electric vehicles can help reduce air pollution and contributions to climate change. In this context, electric vehicles have become a promising solution to reduce air pollution and dependence on fossil fuels.

  1. Education and Public Awareness

Incorporating social, economic and environmental aspects in energy planning is key to ensuring sustainable access to clean and affordable energy. Educating the public about the benefits of clean energy and how to reduce energy consumption can help change behavior and promote clean energy use. Improving public understanding of the benefits of clean energy and the importance of energy savings can help change behavior and promote the use of clean energy.

By taking these steps and solutions, developing countries can reduce their dependence on environmentally unsustainable fossil fuels, improve energy access for their people, and contribute to global efforts to tackle climate change. This requires cooperation between governments, the private sector, and civil society to achieve access to clean and affordable energy in developing countries, and it also requires a long-term commitment to address these challenges. With more global collaboration and financial support, we can continue these efforts and achieve equitable energy access for all global citizens, while safeguarding our environment.
