Theme: Writing Procedure Text

To write poetry, start by selecting a theme or emotion you want to explore. Decide whether you want to follow a specific form, like a sonnet or haiku, or if free verse suits your idea better. Think about the tone you wish to convey---whether it'sx joyful, melancholic, or contemplative. Begin with a strong image or a striking line to capture attention. Focus on sensory details to make the imagery vivid. Use figurative language, such as metaphors and similes, to add layers of meaning. Pay attention to the sound of words, incorporating techniques like alliteration and assonance to enhance musicality. Draft freely at first, allowing your thoughts to flow without worrying too much about structure. After drafting, revise by tightening the language and eliminating any unnecessary words. Read your poem aloud to check its rhythm and overall flow. Finally, refine your poem until it feels complete, with each word chosen deliberately for maximum impact.
