I love to see a movie which tells about people, life, and love. Watching good movies or drama sometime can encourage and motivate us to be a better person. Sometime gives us a positive feeling about understanding other people conditions. If it about life, sometime, it’s not just black and white, or wrong and right. Because every condition always a reason to make a decision. And sometime good decision will not accept with good reaction by others.

Almost three years I’ve been one of Korean drama big fan. I really enjoy watching those dramas. So many things to learn by doing it, especially positive things, such as:

1.There’s always new knowledge

I always surprised with Korean drama, because they always give me a new knowledge about the theme. They are creative. Every drama is not just about the love story and conflict between those characters that’s played. But there’s always new knowledge.

I just watched A Bachelor’s Vegetable Store. From the title we can imagine this drama’s about a vegetable store. The story is about a main character dream to have own vegetable store that gives a fresh vegetable with fairly price. The way Han Tae Yang, run his business, his idea, his spirit, and his struggle are inspiring and motivating. We can learn about how to pick a good vegetable and fruit, the honesty of business man, diversity product, promotion, and how to sell to customer with attractive ways.

Or the other day, I watched Taming Hair. From the title I can’t imagine what this drama’s about? But after I watched this drama, I have a new knowledge about golf. In this movie, Lee Pyung Kang mainly character have a dream to fulfill her father will to create a golf range which have a sound of orchestra instrumental. The view of the golf range which have six specialties of international golf range, the grass, the sand, the trick of playing golf itself, how to maintenance the field, we can see it in this drama.

In Coffee Prince, we can learn diversity of coffee from every country, including from Indonesia, and learn how to make an aromatic coffee. About coffee itself, we can see the process of burn the coffee beans in Becoming Billionaire, there’s a scene about coffee.

In Baker Kim Tak Goo, we learn about make a tasty bread. How to pick a good flour, basic ingredient of bread, how to treat the dough before process it to be a bread, temperature of the oven and the air, the use of water to make the bread taste soft and moist.

In Gentleman’s Dignity, we learn about architecture. We can see the blueprint of building design they made. They even make a building mockups one by one, piece by piece. They discuss about architecture of the resort which content with canal and the river drains.

In Dream High, we learn about music, how to make a music, the inspiration, learning do re mi, the lyrics, even the dance. The move, musical rhythm, choreograph of the music, especially pop music. But in Beethoven Virus, we can learn the beautiful of classical music. Especially Beethoven’s classic musical orchestra. To whom who never hear about classical music, you must see this drama. After watch this drama, you will fall in love with classical music. The sound of violin harmony with piano and flute is really touching my heart.

2.Inspired by the set and clothes

As we know, Korea is one of big country in the world. They have a good sense of art. From those dramas I have learned that Korea is more fun and life than Japanese or Chinese. I feel inspired whenever I see every setting in drama. They always knit, simple, and unique. The colors used are always bright and fresh, modern style. Even it was a small place, but always setting it with style. The furniture they use for the set always looks fit with the place. Whether it a big or a small place.

And the wardrobe. I know Korea is not a country of fashion. But they always look charming with every wardrobe that they use. Once again, the color, the style, and the season are matter. Whether it a poor or rich people, or the ancient or modern time, they always look great. Simply, nice, and match. Even using a uniform, they set this uniform so perfect.

3.Bad guy will be a good guy

Just like another movie, there’s always a good and bad character. But what I love the most is, everyone has the heart. Every crime has the reason, and every reason has its own punishment. And that makes every bad person will realize how bad they are, then if we lucky, we can see they turn to a good person who feels sorry with their action in the past. I love the happy ending movie.

4.Learning Korean language

The more I listen how they speak, the more I can learn Korean language or Han guk. My Korean vocabulary is increasing every time I watched the movie. Even though I still can’t understand the letter, but I can understand the sound.

And, recently I have learnt about Hangul, which means Korean letters. I am trying to understand every line and make a word with it.

5.The Food and good manner

Watching Korean Dramas, we always see their traditional food. Every time have dinner, they always serve many kind of food in a different ways of eating. Every food they eat, always look tasty. Even they eat ramyeon, they act it just like the most tasty food in the world. And then we know about traditional food like Kimchi (fermented vegetables), Gimbap (snack seaweed-rice for picnic or school), Bulgogi (fire meat cooked on a grill), Bibimbap (rice topped with seasoned vegetables), Ramyeon (variation of noodle), Ddeokbokki (casserole dish).

They show respect to the elder, just like in Indonesia. To show respect to the older, they use different name such as Hyeongnim (older brother – for man), Oppa (older brother – for woman), Sunbaenim (senior), Noona (older sister – for man), Eoni (older sister – for woman), Ahjussi (uncle/ strange person), Ahjumma (aunt/strange lady). The always nod their head before or after talking with others.

However, we can learn many things from everything. And Korean drama is something that we can learn.
