There are 3 points that represent the using of local language in Indonesia, that is:


1. Regional regulation only employs local language in naming specific or constructed terms in general provision;


2. Regional regulation provides for uniquely local provisions, namely development of cultures and implementation of local values in governmental institutions, that is when local languages are primarily used;


3. Regional regulation employs local language when it regulates on uniquely local content of the respective regions. Without having status as specific or special autonomy, every province, regency, and city have the right to make provisions regarding its unique characteristics.
