My Eid Mubarak 2020
Eid Mubarak in 2020 is very different from the years because previously we were in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. In Eid Mubarak 2020, the government prohibits people from carrying out Eid prayers in the field together.
This was done as an effort by the government to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus. Most people do Eid Mubarak by going on vacation, but different from our family, every Eid we just stay at home and don't go on vacation.
On the night before Eid Mubarak, there is usually a tradition in my area, namely Takbiran. At the time of Takbiran many young people participated in the event so it was crowded and there were many people who saw the tradition. But last year there was no such tradition, so it felt different from previous years.
The next morning i woke up early at 04.00 A.M. I pray at dawn then take a shower first. After that i went to the prayer room near my house. Usually after do the Eid prayer people shake hand but this Eid did not shake hands because it is to avoid physical contact with other people. I returned home at 08.30 A.M.
Then after carrying out the Eid Prayer, my older sister and i used to pray to my parents first. Then we proceeded to visit only our closest relatives and neighbors.
After that, we went home and enjoyed special foods during Eid Mubarak, namely rendang and chiken opor. Eid Mubarak 2020 very different because we only visit our closest relatives and neighbors. I hope that in 2021 the Covid-19 Pandemic will soon disappear to that we can all do activities as before.
