Opening :
Do you know about verbal bullying? Bullying is bullying behavior where the perpetrator intentionally hurts someone, either emotionally, physically or sexually. This behavior usually occurs in the school environment or in the community. Bullying is also divided into 2, namely verbal and nonverbal. Verbal bullying is bullying in the form of teasing, insults, threats, etc, while nonverbal is physical violence.
Opinion :
Bullying is also often carried out on social media, namely all forms of violence experienced by teenagers today, such as teenagers being insulted, ridiculed and humiliated via social media. The impact of verbal bullying is also very large, including anxiety, restlessness, self-harm and even suicide. So that bullying incidents don't happen again, of course we have to prevent them by instilling a sense of empathy, being kind to other people, and providing emotional support to victims of bullying. And in the opinion of someone I interviewed yesterday from students at SMK 1 CIOMAS, on average verbal bullying can affect a person's mental health, so that this action no longer occurs, we must prevent it as soon as possible so that there are no more victims of verbal bullying.
Conclusion :
The conclusion l got from this interview and understanding about mocking is verbal bullying is that verbal teasing can be considered a from of human harassment. Such actions can be detrimental, degrading, and cause negative psychological impacts on the individual who is the target of ridicule. Therefore, let's not ridicule our friends or anyone who verbally bullies them.
