The hero of the women in Indonesia are many, and my favorite is Raden Ajeng Kartini. She is a female warrior from Jepara who is very famous in Indonesia. She is known as a woman who strives to fight for women's emancipation. Kartini was born in Jepara, April 21, 1879. Her birthday is celebrated as Kartini Day, to honor all its services to the nation of Indonesia.

Kartini feels a lot of discrimination between men and women, where she and other women cannot continue their education to a higher level, even some women are not allowed to go to education. In her seclusion, Kartini likes to write letters to friends of correspondence originating from the Netherlands, one of which is Rosa Abendanon.

Kartini is interested in the progress and mindset of European women after reading many European books, newspapers, and magazines. Kartini's desire to promote indigenous women like European women, because at that time, indigenous women were in low social status. so she fought for women until the end of her life.

Sacrifices that Kartini do, not be in vain. Now Indonesian women have the same position with men. women can go to school, work, etc. So women are no longer considered weak. As for us as women today to continue Kartini's struggle to be a great, and courageous woman. Do not be affected by the negative impacts of the times.
