Geraldine Beldi, The Angel for Ridwan Kamil's Family

Jakarta – On Wednesday morning (8/6/2022) at 06.50 am Swiss time, the body of Emmeril Khan Mumtadz or Eril was found. Interestingly enough, his body was found not by the SAR team but by an elementary school teacher whose currently passing the Aare River that morning."Mrs. Geraldine Beldi is her name. She is an elementary school teacher who found the body of Eril on the Aare river when she was on her way to her place to teach", wrote Ridwan Kamil on his Instagram account Friday, June 10.

Geraldine Beldi is an elementary school teacher in Bern, Switzerland. She stated that when she was walking towards her teaching place, Geraldine immediately saw the body of a man on the bottom of the river, which she believed to be the body of Eril, Ridwan Kamil's son, who had been reported missing since May 26, 2022. Geraldine immediately called the local police to evacuate the body without hesitation.

As soon as he heard about the news, Ridwan Kamil, who famously called Kang Emil, headed a flight to Bern to meet and take his son's body back home. Before he and his family return to Indonesia, Kang Emil wanted to meet Geraldine. He asked all his team to find her and know where she lived.

After his team succeeds in finding Geraldine, Kang Eril then asks if he can meet her. "Alhamdulillah, waiting for her to finish teaching, at 11 we met earlier, and I express my gratitude,' he stated on his Instagram post.

After waiting for a while, Kang Eril finally met Geraldine. They both talk for a moment, and according to Kang Emil's Instagram post, Geraldine stated that she and all the citizens of Bern know about the news, and as a mother of two, she cannot bear the feeling of her children missing. So every time she walks, she looks into the Aare river and finally finds him. Geraldine also sends condolences to Kang Emil and his family.
