I’m guessing you all want to change the world to make our earth a better place, right?. And better yet, your name will show up in the history for years to come. But history, are we not a part of it already? What is a king without an army, civilians and workers? If that the king didn’t have at least one of those, then he would be a king of nothing. In an election, a governor, president, is nothing without voters. So now you may be suggesting that the president, governors or leaders changes the world, because they have power. They have the power of voters, civilians, and also an army. So maybe let’s just leave world changing to them, someone is more famous with more responsibility. But who said you couldn’t become a leader? Well, to change the world, we need to know what needs changing. But that’s kind of complicated because everything needs changing. Meat prices are rising, so we need someone that can make farming easier and less expensive. Gas prices are rising, and we need someone to make an alternative to gas. Maybe even fuel from corn. [/caption] Let’s think of something smaller than that. Changing the world doesn’t have to be something big. It can start from something small, which can make you are eager to do more. Everything starts with something small, a spark that leads to a great burning forest fire. A good example is Rosa Parks. In the mid 20th century, it was a century full of racism and discrimination in America. If you weren’t a European or American, you would be treated differently. Strange isn’t it? It wasn’t strange at all at that time. If you lived in that age owning a slave is normal. Every rich man was doing it, even George Washington. [/caption] There were also some strange rules at that time. An African American could not sit in the front seats of the bus. Why is that? Well African Americans were considered less because most of them used to be slaves at the time. Why were they slaves? Well long time ago in the tenth century, many African Americans were hard and strong workers. They soon became popular. Some African tribes even sold their own men to become slaves. And if you’re a woman slave and you gave birth to a child, then your child would also become a slave. So there were a lot of African slaves at the time, and Rosa Parks was all against it. On one sudden day, Rosa Parks wanted to sit in the front seat of the bus. She knew that she wasn’t allowed to sit in the front, but she was tired of all the rules and racism that she decided to stay there and sat when she was asked to move from her spot. [/caption] This set off a spark. It showed people that they could if they wanted to, disobeyed the laws. All Rosa Parks did was just sat there. But something small like that meant a lot to the world. She broke the rules and it lead to a world of equality. “You are remembered by the rules you break, not for the rules you follow.” So start with something small. Grow a community garden, experiment with some grasshoppers. Life is full of choices. Like an endless chain of choices and possibilities. Which leads to which? I cannot say.Again, thanks for reading!
