Love and Drug

This is a story about a struggle for getting love and being free from the drug. It is also about two young people hiding their feelings because of their friendship.

Just call them Al and Mi…

As they walked through the parking area, a light drizzle began to fall. She pulled out an umbrella from her bag, Al pulled up his hood and hunched his shoulders. They run to go to their class. They were actually master students in one of the universities in Makassar. However, they had different majors. Al was a medical student. Whereas, Mi was an English literature student.

Four years ago, when they took their bachelor's degree. They were actually close friends. But everything had changed after Mi found something dangerous in Al’s bag when they had lunch together in the canteen. Al went to buy a cup of coffee at the time. While Mi was waiting for him, she was bored sitting alone. She glanced to Al’s bag was on the table. She was curious about what was inside his best friend’s bag. Then, she opened it slowly. She was surprised and afraid too. She did not know what she should do. Al was her partner. But he was a drug addict. Mi was leaving the canteen without asking Al. Their friendship was broken at that very moment.

Mi cried all the way back home. She was shaking with fear. "Why did you do that Al?". Her heart whispered.
