A: How is your blogging activity in Kompasiana so far?

B: Good. Maybe it's not "excellent" or "super", but I enjoy my blogging time in this platform.

A: How do you compare yourself to other bloggers?

B: I'm still new. It has been only about 16 months my blogging time in Kompasiana. Compared to others who have been blogging much longer... of course my achievement might look "small". But, surprisingly... I noticed there're more than 42.000 readers and 70 chosen articles of my blogs so far. It's not the best one, but I'm sure it's not bad either. 

A: Wow... keep on blogging, bro. Anyway, how do you get the idea of blogging?

B: Simple. Just read, watch, and observe a lot about many things around me from any media. I usually pick the topics about social culture or life style which mean not the "hard" or "serious" topics. I realize that I'm not an expert in any field, just a former English teacher who likes writing. That's all. 

A: You never get any award --either in certificate or money-- from Kompasiana, did you?

B: Never. To be honest, I just enjoy blogging with my own style. I don't expect much that my style will be considered good and deserve to get award. I'm a natural writer. Getting or not getting award, I'll keep writing and blogging as one of my hobbies. For me, having a "big target" will only end up in stress and anxiety. I don't like that... haha. But, certainly I respect "serious" bloggers.
