A: Do you know Kompasiana is 16 years old now in 2024?
B: Yes, I do. I just noticed it lately. I'm a new blogger joining in July 2023... so, I'm still "junior" in this platform I guess.
A: Do you consider yourself as an active blogger or a passive one?
B: I'm not sure... in between, I think. There're times when I write 3-4 blogs a day, but there're also times when I didn't write anything in 3-4 days... haha. I never force my self to write. I just realize that writing under pressure won't be good. I mean, I write whenever I want to write and not because I'm forced to write. No writer is perfect. I just want to be myself.
A: What is your target in writing on Kompasiana?
B: Not too big or too ambitious. I just hope I can write anything I like without being worry that my blogs will be blocked... haha. I'm just a simple man, a simple writer, and also have only a simple wish. I don't have any ambition to be "the most inspiring blogger" or something like that.
A: But, you're serious in writing your blogs, aren't you? I think, Kompasiana is a "serious" platform meaning you must use it to write something good for the readers. Don't waste your time and energy by writing something "useless". Sorry, bro... just reminding you.
B: Thanks. Of course, I'm always serious in writing my blogs although it's only in short and simple form. A good and qualified writing doesn't have to be long and hard to read, right? Some readers like short writings better. I think I belong to these kinds of readers... haha.
A: It seems you don't care about getting money-reward from Kompasiana. How do you get your money for a living, then? I know, I asked this question several times before. Maybe there're people still don't know how you survive in life.
B: Just stay simple in life, man. It's not poor nor rich, just being moderate in life style. Besides being a blogger, I'm also a book writer (in BIP Publisher, Jakarta) and a small businessman. I'm an introvert person, working from home, and having many hobbies to enjoy myself. As a Buddhist, I also like doing meditation. Anyway, happy birthday to Kompasiana. I'm glad being here.
