A: There's a gesture in metal/rock music called "devil horns". What is the actual meaning behind it?

B: I'm not sure. Many references say it's a satanic symbol, while others say it's only an expression in music.

A: Jokingly, in Indonesia it has a more political meaning... haha. OK, what do you think about this gesture?

B: For me, it's just an expression... especially in metal and rock music. It's not an obligation for fan to do that, anyway.

A: You mean, metal fans don't have to show that gesture in metal or rock music live performances?

B: No. However, there're some metal bands --sadly-- involved in occultism or satanic ritualism. I don't like it.

A: Be honest, do you sometimes show "devil horns" whenever you're listening to metal music... alone?

B: Haha... yes, I do. But, of course not based on any "dark" or satanic reason. Simply just as an expression.

A: Some people describe metal music as destructive, dark, unethical, and gloomy. Are they wrong?

B: Not totally. Just like any other music... some bands are good, some others are bad. I'm not a fanatic fan of metal, anyway.
