There are several ways in which international tax law can affect climate change and vice versa.

The contribution of taxes to climate change is that taxes can be used as a policy instrument to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy. For example, the government could provide tax incentives for companies that use renewable energy sources, reduce taxes on environmentally friendly vehicles, or provide tax incentives for households that minimize energy consumption.

One of how international tax law can affect climate change is through fiscal incentives. Governments can provide budgetary incentives through tax breaks or reduced tax rates to businesses or individuals that promote environmentally friendly practices or technologies that are cleaner and more energy efficient. An example of this incentive is a tax credit for investing in renewable energy or energy savings.

On the other hand, climate change may affect international tax laws in several ways. One way is through changes in the valuation of asset values. In some cases, assets such as petroleum or coal that were previously highly valued may lose weight due to reduced future demand as part of efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This can affect state revenues from export taxes or royalties from these natural resources.

In addition, climate change can trigger changes in international tax structures. For example, some countries may establish carbon taxes as part of their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This can affect companies operating in the country, leading to trade conflicts between nations.

In conclusion, the relationship between climate change and international tax law can be influenced by the fiscal incentives provided by the government, the valuation of asset values, and the tax structure regulated by the state.
