INTRODUCTION
Today, I will review a journal entitled "3 Dimensional Visualization for Adaptive Building Construction Masterplan in University of Darussalam Gontor Area" written by Faisal Reza Pradhana. This journal was published in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series. This journal aims to design a 3-dimensional modeling of buildings at University of Darussalam Gontor to overcome the limitations of physical prototypes. The background of this research is the need to provide more dynamic and adaptive solutions in building design, which can facilitate easier updates and access for the community and university development activities.
SUMMARY
This study uses a waterfall model in system development, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, verification, and maintenance. The application used in making this 3-dimensional model is Blender. The results of this study are 3D models that are tested and show a success rate of 90% in working as expected, with a user satisfaction rate of 88%.
EVALUATION
This study successfully overcomes the problems faced with physical prototypes, such as susceptibility to damage and difficulty in updating. The use of 3D models allows for more realistic and detailed visualization, as well as easy access and updating. However, there are also some weaknesses found, such as the many details that must be considered and the possibility of texture input errors. And also the method used (waterfall) requires precision in every process. So it will be difficult if an error occurs in the previous step.
CRITICAL ANALYSIS
I strongly agree with the purpose of creating this 3D modeling. It is very true that physical media is susceptible to damage and difficult to update. The 3D modeling that is currently being created will be very useful as a reference and applied in the development of Darussalam Gontor University in the future.
CONCLUSION
