Talking about Diplomacy, what do you know about Diplomacy?

A method used by countries to avoid conflict? Well, that can explain briefly about Diplomacy which we will discuss together. Diplomacy is a method or strategy used by a country to communicate internationally to establish cooperation between countries, as well as show its existence in the international world.

An important component of international relations is diplomacy, which involves official representation, organized discussions, and negotiations to support national interests and maintain global balance. The highest Art of War is to defeat an opponent without fighting-Sun tzu "The Art of war"

Diplomacy is a form of Soft Power that relies on culture, attraction, and values to influence other people's opinions and behavior. Joseph Nye was the figure who first put forward this idea in the early 1990s It refers to a country's ability to achieve its political goals through attraction and attraction rather than through military (hard power) or economic power.

Soft power diplomacy emphasizes the importance of building relationships through the appeal of shared culture and values. In the current era of globalization, having cultural appeal and encouraging good values can be a very effective tool for achieving a country's diplomatic goals. The concept of soft power diplomacy also has several key elements, namely culture, education, social media, and technology.

1. Culture
Soft power diplomacy often involves cultural exchanges such as art, music, films, and literary works. This cultural exchange can increase our understanding of the cultural differences that exist in each country and foster a sense of mutual respect for the cultures of other countries. Therefore, intercultural communication is needed which involves a deep understanding of cultural differences, language, and social values

2. Education
This can open the way for student exchanges, scholarships, and educational cooperation as a means of promotion and mutual understanding. Also to understand more about the culture and history of other countries

3. Social Media and Technology
Social media in this day and age is supported by the development of information technology which is increasingly sophisticated and makes it easier for countries to exchange information, communicate, and promote their cultural values at the global level. Through media, we can also build and maintain positive relations between countries by involving social and cultural aspects.

One of the many countries that uses soft power diplomacy is South Korea. South Korea, nicknamed the land of ginseng, has a diverse and distinctive culture. South Korea itself is very famous for its drama and film production. However, among them, the most famous and has attracted the attention of many global people is K-Pop. K-Pop or Korean Pop is the name given to the popular music genre in Korea. K-Pop itself produces many talented artists, boy or girl bands. By seeing these many elements, South Korea takes advantage of them by carrying out diplomacy in which they promote their culture globally.
