Reason People Plagiarize in Writing

One day, one of the students in university got a punishment because of plagiarizing someone else's work. As the internet appears, the students have a lot of ways to get in touch with kind of information on the internet than ever before. The student did copy and paste the whole text without rearrange it again. Not a single word changed. He told that the final project had done by himself as his original work. But eventually, the teacher knew about that. Then, the student itself got a punishment from the university. In recent years, plagiarism has been found repeatedly, especially in the universities among the students and the teachers. Therefore, there are many reasons why people may lead to plagiarism such as lack of knowledge, pressure, and fear of failure.

The first reason why people do plagiarism is because of lack of knowledge. They may not really understand and not interested about their topic essay. For example, if you are a student then your teacher gives you an assignment to write about beauty trend, but actually you are a man. Of course, it is an uncommon topic for you which is you have not passion on it at all. Consequently, you don't have any reason to reject the instruction. You have to submit that assignment without complain, so maybe at that time the only thing comes on your mind is to plagiarize.

Then, the second reason people tend to plagiarism in writing is pressure. Having a good mood when you are writing also can effect on your process to write an essay. If you are bad mood, it will make you not focus on your essay. Moreover, you will stuck in the difficult situation because you have not any idea to developing your thoughts and opinions. As the quote that I have already seen "Good mood = Creativity", it means good mood truly effect on your creativity to write an essay.

For another reason is, people are fear of failure. Sometimes, mostly people feel insecure with their own work. They might not confident to show their handwriting. Moreover, maybe they feel that their thoughts and ideas are not strong enough. Thus, most of them prefer to plagiarism, in order to get a good score. In fact, a good score are not necessary. Instead, people who are doing plagiarism will lose enthusiasm of creation. It is actually big impact for themselves too.

In conclusion, plagiarism is a disrespect action for learning and motivation. When people do plagiarism, it means that they lose a very important opportunity to improve their writing skills and the ability of thinking. Therefore, people should enhance their awareness of the importance of honesty. Better work by themselves than plagiarizing someone else's work. We should become people who are full of confidence with our own work. I believe, it will change your writing skills better.
