The number of cases of lost of motorbikes in the campus UPN Veteran East Java area is very worrying and a soulution must be immediately sought. The rectorate must have done their best to create a safe campus environment so that students feel comfortable by hiring security guards who can be trusted and already have security guard certificates. We got from the point of view of UPN students, campus security is relatively safe they said, but this time we will listen to how campus security is from the point of view of a UPN security guard who has worked here for over 7 years.

Ahmad Mukhlisin (27 Years old) is a security guard that my team interviewed about campus security according to him, Ahmad Mukhlisin himself has worked on this campus since 2018, he got the job offer from his brother first. Ahmad Mukhlisin had worked as a courier until finally he worked as a security guard on the UPN Veteran East Java campus. Mr. Ahmad usually guards the gate of door 2 where motorbikes enter and exit, he always gets a morning to afternoon shift. He said it was pretty easy to get this job because he already has a security certificate "I already have my own security certificate, it what made me got accepted here" He said on the interview.

He said that the parking facilities at UPN are inadequate when compared to the number of students who bring private vehicles, especially students who bring their own motorcycle. It is often found that some recalcitrant students park their motorcycles in places where they should not be such as on the streets around UPN which should be a parking lot for cars."Hopefully this campus will improving their parking facilities, "Sometimes Ifeel sorry if I have to tell them to park far from their building espescially now that the weather is so hot"

The motorcycle entrance and exit gates at UPN use a ticket system which can reduce the occurrence of lost motorbikes because they are not allowed to leave if there is no ticket or motorbike owner identity. Ahmad Mukhlisin said that if there are students who do not bring their vehicle registration or if they lost it, they must bring a letter of loss or their BPKB motorbike then the security guard at the motorbike exit gate will take a photo of the motorbike and the owner aswell. "Back then, students who did not bring their vehicle registration certificate or lost theirs, they would be told to take a photo copy, but for now the student is required to make a letter of loss at the police department or show the security their Student ID CARD and then the security will take a picture of them with the motorbike and its license plate" He said, as an effort to reduce the occurrence of lost motorbikes in the campus area.

Mr. Ahmad said he hopes that with this kind of method the number of lost can be reduced in the campus area "I hope that in the future there will be no more reports of lost motorbikes on campus" he said. Not only the efforts of the security guards but as a students we must be able to look after our personal belongings, never forget to lock your motorbike and don't leave your important things on the motorbikes.
