The Japanese-born badminton athlete, Yuta Watanabe, received a warm welcome from Indonesian badminton fans on June 14 at Istora Senayan Stadium. The athlete, who just turned 25 on June 13, received a special prize in the form of singing from badminton fans in Indonesia at the Indonesia Open Champions 2022 event.

The fans who were present simultaneously sang the happy birthday song to Yuta to congratulate the athlete's increasing age.

This moment took place after the mixed doubles pair Yuta Watanabe / Arisa Higashino managed to complete the first round of the Indonesia Open Champions 2022, after fighting against the Dutch pair, Robin Tabeling / Selena Peck with a victory through rubber sets 27-25, 21-23, 21-15.

It didn't stop there; after the first-round match was over, the fans also gave gifts to the athlete who won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in the mixed doubles sector.

In response, Yuta thanked the audience for celebrating his age. The athlete did not hesitate to bow to the audience for his appreciation for the attention the fans who gathered at Istora Senayan gave him.
