Lecturer & PK Bapas present research results at 7th Human Rights Conference
The Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya, in collaboration with several parties including SEPAHAM, CHRM2 University of Jember, SSEAC University of Sydney, ISFORB, AICHR, Komnas HAM, and BSK Kemenkumham, from 28 to 29 August 2024 held the 7th Human Rights Conference with the theme 'Human Rights, Peace, and Innovation in Asia and the Pacific: A Synergistic Approach to Sustainable Societies'.
The event invites researchers, academics, practitioners, bureaucrats, students, and the general public to share their research results, views, and ideas around the themes that have been determined so that they can be grouped into 6 (six) Panel Sessions. Three Plenary Speakers, Anis Hidayah, Commissioner of Komnas HAM, Yuyun Wahyuningrum, Indonesian Representative to AICHR, and Dr Dhahana Putra, Director General of Human Rights of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, have been prepared to spark the panel discussion.
On the occasion of the Conference, 4 (four) Kemenkumham employees participated independently to deliver research presentations. The Kemenkumham employees referred to have the functional status of Polytechnic Lector Lecturers in the echelon I BPSDM Law and Human Rights work unit, namely Dr. Umar Anwar, Ali Muhammad, and Markus Marselinus. Meanwhile, the employee who has the functional status of the First Community Supervisor at the Tangerang Class I Correctional Centre work unit is Ika Amelia.
Ali Muhammad and Ika Amelia collaborated by delivering a research presentation entitled 'Breastfeeding and Having Congenital Children at the Jambi Class IIB Women's Correctional Institution'.
Meanwhile, Dr Umar Anwar and Markus Marselinus collaborated by presenting 2 (two) research results with the titles 'Facilitation of the Fulfillment of Citizens' Voting Rights in Prisons/Detention Centers' and "Conditional Rights of Terrorist Convicts in the Nusakambangan Super Maximum Security Penitentiary".
