Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana will meet compatriot Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto after successfully advancing to the round of 16. Bagas/Fikri managed to advance to the round of 16 after defeating representatives of Scotland, Alexander Dunn/Adam Hall with two games straight, namely 21-16 and 21-16.
Bagas/Fikri managed to beat representatives of Scotland in the last 32 of the Indonesia Open 2022 which was held at Istora Senayan on Wednesday (15/06/2022). This match was fun and well run, although there were several errors from the Indonesian pair.
The victory achieved by Bagas/Fikri brought them to meet other Indonesian representatives, namely Fajar/Rian, who had already advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Malaysian representatives Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin.
Previously, Bagas/Fikri and Fajar/Rian had met several times, one of which was at the Korea Open 2022 which at that time was won by Fajar Rian with two games 21-12 and 21-9. Bagas/Fikri said that tomorrow's match will be tight and difficult because the odds are balanced.
