Abstract
Politics is the process of determining state goals and implementing them in regulating, dividing policies in power and authority to foster conflict resolution. Political communication is the delivery of messages by politicians to the public. This article uses a descriptive method, which collects data from journal articles and other literature sources. A number of political parties have opened their eyes to social media which further encourages party popularity in the era of transformation. Political dynamics during the campaign period are used to attract sympathy on social media. Candidate campaigns will carry out negative or black campaign attacks by utilizing mass media space. The danger of black campaigns on social media is that they are used to destroy the reputation of opponents by spreading negative or hoax or manipulative information. One of the impacts of black campaigns can also reduce the quality of the implementation of the upcoming election. Politicians use social media to build personal branding, convey ideas that attract Gen-Z and millennials.
