After vacuum for 2 years due to the pandemic, finally in 2022 Java Jazz was held offline again. This event has been held for 3 days, from 27 to 28 May 2022 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. This annual event, which has just returned, presents 542 musicians from various genres and generations, and even Java Jazz 2022 also brings in various foreign and domestic artists. For the regular show, some of the performing artists were Afgan, Andien, Reza Artamevia, Kahitna, HIVI!, including the Swedish trio, Dirty Loops. Java Jazz also held a special show on the three days featuring songwriter and actress Jojo, Grammy winner PJ Morton, and The Temptations Rev Feat. Glenn Leonard.

Considering that this festival is still being held in a post-pandemic state, Java Jazz has made regulations to continue to follow the health protocols set by the government. All visitors must wear mask, the festival venue also provides hand washing facilities and hand sanitizers at several points. In addition, visitors are required to use the PeduliLindungi application to enter the venue. This is done to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festival safely and comfortably.

The music event, which has been eagerly awaited by the entire community, especially those who love music festival, certainly brings hope to increase again. After experiencing a situation that requires us to cancel similar events, finally Java Jazz can become a milestone which indicates that the situation is slowly getting better.

"I'm really happy to be able to come to Java Jazz, to be able to sing again with satisfaction, with friends, especially the artists are really cool. Basically, I really miss events like this, and hope that in the future there will be more events or festivals that can be held offline." Said Hegli as a visitor of Java Jazz when interviewed.

Dewi Gontha as President Director of Java Festival Production said that apart from bringing hope to gigs lovers, the return of Java Jazz is also good news for industry players, especially in the field of live music performances. Because during the pandemic, many industry players face difficulties to survive.
